Following last year's redesign, we didn't think there was much the engineers at Chevy could do to improve the Silverado 1500 for Burlington, VT drivers. But they surprised us with three new additions, including: 

  • A new, cutting-edge, efficient powertrain option - the 3.0-liter diesel-powered "Duramax diesel engine." With 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, the straight-six diesel engine is impressive and an exciting addition to the 2020 lineup. 
  • New safety feature option - adaptive cruise control is available for the first time 
  • A new trailering system - the optional Advanced Trailering System makes towing even easier, with a display that can show you up to 15 different camera angles.

2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 Available Trims and Configurations
For 2020, the Silverado 1500 continues to be a highly customizable model for Colchester, VT drivers. There are three cab styles, including the two-door regular cab, four-door double cab with small backseat, and four-door crew cab with full-sized backseat. Plus, there are several engine options and a few different bed lengths.
Which engine you get on your Silverado 1500 depends on the trim level you choose, and there you have a nice eight level options to get to know. These include:

  • LTZ: An outstanding upper-level model, with standard navigation, dual-zone auto climate control, heated front seats, leather upholstery, and more.
  • High Country: The top-of-the-line model delivers all the features and creature comforts Shelburne, VT drivers love, such as heated second-row seats, front and rear parking sensors, ventilated front seats, upgrade audio system, and wireless device charging.

In addition to the newly added diesel powertrain, the 2020 Silverado 1500 also has a variety of gas-powered engines available. These range in ratings from power, to payload, to towing, and which ones you get on your truck depends on which trims you like.

With the legendary Chevrolet pickup truck entering its 101st year of production with the 2019 model year, it's time to celebrate everything that sets the Silverado 1500 apart from the competition. With more customization options and trim levels than ever before, The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado is an even more-powerful choice for Vermont drivers. With increased cabin space and additional storage areas, the 2019 Silverado is roomier and ready to carry more gear, whether that gear is construction materials for the jobsite, skis, mountain bikes, or snowmobiles.

The overall style and design of the 2019 Silverado 1500 will look different, especially to longtime fans. The exterior has been redesigned from the ground up, and it's a larger truck in almost every aspect. Here's a quick glimpse at a handful of the larger dimensions you can find here:

  • Increased cab space, with several inches of increased legroom
  • Larger wheelbase, with an increase of around 3.9 inches
  • Widened bed floors, increasing volume capacity for all bed options
The 2019 model year of the Silverado 1500 is also around 450 pounds lighter, thanks to new materials and the mixed use of aluminum and high-strength steel. This change in weight and construction materials increases the truck's overall fuel economy ratings, while increasing the 2019 Silverado’s truck bed durability thanks to a high-strength steel floor in the bed.

When it comes to utility, it's always been hard to beat the new Chevy Silverado 1500. Now, with the 2019 makeover, other trucks in this class may find it harder than ever to keep up. For example, the 2019 Silverado 1500 can tow a maximum of 12,100 pounds, up from an 11,700-pound max for the 2018 model. Add in the optional trailering package, and the 2019 Silverado 1500 crew cab model can manage about 340 pounds more than the previous model year.

Longtime Silverado fans will also notice a major change to the 2019 Silverado’s trailering packages, thanks to the new available Max Trailering Package and the available Advanced Trailering Package. These powerful additions to your truck will give you new and enhanced trailering features, including Hitch Guidance with Hitch View, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) for your trailer, and a trailering app you can download to your smartphone to help you monitor your load around Colchester VT or Essex, VT.
